Worldwide area station took picture from 271 miles above the earth
(NASA) – This picture, taken from aboard the Worldwide House Station, exhibits the aurora australis because it streams throughout the Earth’s ambiance because the station orbited 271 miles above the southern Indian Ocean in between Asia and Antarctica.
Named for the Roman goddess of daybreak, the aurora is a charming show of sunshine within the evening sky.
The aurora borealis and aurora australis — additionally known as the northern lights and southern lights — happen on the northern and southern poles.
