July 22, 2021 –The College of Rhode Island extends a hearty congratulations to alumnus and main donor Michael D. Fascitelli on his Milwaukee Bucks’ historic championship season. The Bucks defeated the Phoenix Suns Tuesday evening to seize their first Nationwide Basketball Affiliation title in 50 years.
Fascitelli, part of the Bucks’ possession group since 2014, is a member of URI’s Board of Trustees. A 1978 graduate, summa cum laude, of the Faculty of Engineering, he earned an M.B.A. with distinction from Harvard Enterprise College. He’s founding father of MDF Capital LLC and co-founder and managing accomplice of Imperial Firms. He beforehand served as president and chief government of Vornado Realty Belief and was former president of Alexander’s Inc.
Fascitelli and his spouse, Elizabeth, had been instrumental within the development of the $11 million Anna Fascitelli Health and Wellness Middle and the $150 million Fascitelli Middle for Superior Engineering, which opened in October 2019.
The engineering heart, together with the improved and expanded Bliss Corridor, strengthen the Faculty’s management within the areas of unpolluted power, nanotechnology, robotics, cybersecurity, water for the world, biomedical know-how, sensible cities, and sensors and instrumentation.
